Reviews
All the previous reviews mention both access and parking, so I thought I'd include some pictures. The road down is narrow, if you meet a car someone will be reversing. The car park is not that small, and there is parking along a wall beside the car park. Needless to say, on a sunny day I'd arrive early! There are bins and 2 porta loos in the car park.
Beach is great! Lovely sandy beach with very few rocks, and it's shallow a good way out. Some fantastic views of Mweelrea.
One of the most surreal beaches on the west coast of Ireland. Parking very limited, but once you get there it's great for long walks, views and relaxing. Highly recommend.
It's stunning. Shame there is not more parking available. Beach was very quiet when we went. No idea where you'd park on a busy day.
Gorgeous beach! Great stop after the Diamond Hill hike.
The sand is one of the finest sands I've seen in a long time. I have sensitive feet so it's great to be able to walk on a fine sand beach in Ireland. The view of the horizon is beautiful, best one in the county. I would recommend it to a friend.
A stunning beach in the Connemara - aqua blue clear waters and white sandy beach. Only downside can be parking particularly on a warm sunny day.
Great beach worth the visit only downside very little parking
Wonderful beach, perfect for swimming or a short walk. You can walk to one of the islets at low tide. White sand, turquoise water and mountains. Small carpark and diving center right beside it. Paradise when the sun shines:)
